About the Designer
Rochelle L. Rodriguez creates limited-run footwear grounded in form, clarity, and expression. Her work is known for its sculptural lines, architectural composition, and focused design language.
Self-taught and driven by experience, Rochelle approaches each collection as a study in material and meaning. Production is kept intentionally small to preserve the uniqueness of each piece.
Today, Rochelle designs for those who value self-definition, who lead with purpose, and who find meaning in the details.
Inspiration
Rochelle’s best friend of 26 years, Michelle L. Miranda motivated her every day to “make it happen”. Michelle was the one person who believed in Rochelle more than herself. The two worked hand-in-hand on design concepts and aesthetics. Tragically, Michelle’s life was cut short during a domestic violence incident in 2014. This event gave Rochelle a new life perspective and prompted her to continue with pursuing the dream and promise of “making it happen”. Rochelle’s designs are inspired by the many personality traits of Michelle L. Miranda: resilient, vibrant, eccentric, avant-garde, and dynamic. To honor her best friend, Rochelle is donating a percentage of sale proceeds towards domestic violence organizations, with the goal of increasing awareness about domestic violence, and helping victims and survivors believe that there is hope and a chance for change. As a mother to a beautiful little girl name Brooklyn Sky Michelle, Rochelle is more determined than ever to pursue her dream.
“No matter where you are in life, or what path you are on, your next step is completely up to you: only you can decide whether to walk the straight line, change direction, or go over the edge. You have the power, you’re in control. Armed with explosive heels, you can kill the game”.
This is for you, Michelle
